PIKS Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder

🍛 Ingredients
Vegetables🥦
Potatoes – 3 (boiled & mashed)
Cauliflower – 1 cup (boiled)
Green peas – 1 cup
Capsicum – 1 large (finely chopped)
Tomatoes – 3 large (finely chopped/pureed)
Onions – 2 medium (finely chopped)
Green chillies – 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Butter & Oil🧈
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp oil
PIKS Spices🧂
1–1.5 tbsp PIKS Pav Bhaji Masala
1 tsp PIKS Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp PIKS Turmeric Powder
½ tsp PIKS Garam Masala
A pinch of PIKS Black Salt (optional)
Others🌿
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Coriander – chopped
Pav buns – 8
Butter for toasting pav
🔥 Detailed Method
1️⃣ Prepare Vegetables
Boil potatoes, peas, and cauliflower until very soft.
Mash well and keep aside.
Chop capsicum, tomatoes, onions.
2️⃣ Make the Masala Base
Heat oil + butter on a large tawa or pan.
Add onions → sauté until golden.
Add ginger-garlic paste → fry until aromatic.
Add capsicum → cook 3–4 minutes.
Add tomatoes → cook till mushy.
3️⃣ Add PIKS Spices
Add the following:
½ tsp PIKS Turmeric Powder
1 tsp PIKS Kashmiri Chilli Powder
Salt
1 tbsp PIKS Pav Bhaji Masala
Cook until the masala releases oil and becomes flavourful.
4️⃣ Add Veggies & Mash
Add mashed potatoes, cauliflower, and peas.
Add 1 cup hot water.
Start mashing continuously for smooth, street-style texture.
Let it cook 10–12 minutes on medium heat. Add more water if needed.
5️⃣ Final Flavour Boost
Add ½ tbsp more PIKS Pav Bhaji Masala.
Add ½ tsp PIKS Garam Masala.
Add a pinch of PIKS Black Salt (optional).
Add butter + lemon juice + coriander.
Mix well for deep Mumbai flavour.
6️⃣ Toast the Pav
Heat tawa, spread butter.
Sprinkle a pinch of PIKS Pav Bhaji Masala (for real street aroma).
Toast pav until golden.
