๐๐ฅ Indo-Chinese Chili Garlic Chicken (Restaurant Style)
๐ง Ingredients
For marination:
500 g boneless chicken (bite-sized pieces) ๐
1 tsp PIKS Red Chilli Powder ๐ถ๏ธ
1 tsp PIKS Black Pepper Powder
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornflour
Salt to taste
For sauce & stir-fry:
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic ๐ง (lots of it!)
1 tbsp chopped ginger
2โ3 dried red chillies ๐ถ๏ธ๐ถ๏ธ
1 onion (cubed)
1 capsicum (cubed) ๐ซ
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
ยฝ tsp PIKS Red Chilli Powder (adjust to taste)
ยฝ tsp PIKS Black Pepper Powder
ยฝ tsp PIKS Garam Masala
ยฝ cup water or chicken stock
1 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water
Spring onions for garnish ๐ฑ
๐ฉโ๐ณ Method
1๏ธโฃ Marinate the chicken
In a bowl, mix chicken with PIKS Red Chilli Powder, PIKS Black Pepper, soy sauce, cornflour, and salt. Rest for 20โ30 minutes for maximum flavour ๐ฅ.
2๏ธโฃ Cook the chicken
Heat oil in a wok or pan. Fry or shallow-cook the marinated chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and keep aside ๐โจ.
3๏ธโฃ Build the flavour base
In the same pan, add oil if needed. Toss in chopped garlic, ginger, and dried red chillies. Sautรฉ until aromatic and lightly golden ๐ง๐ถ๏ธ.
4๏ธโฃ Stir-fry the veggies
Add onion and capsicum. Stir-fry on high heat so they stay crunchy ๐ฅ.
